Time again for yet another Swoops moped Rally. This is our 10th year throwing rallies, 11th rally, and 9th Breakdown and Die. Come celebrate our old age and eventual death. This year we’re doing it a little different. The rally will be held around the Highland Inn as the central point. We have reserved a block of rooms for rally attendees to purchase at a discounted rate. The Highland Inn is located right off Ponce De Leon, a historic center of culture in Atlanta. There are tons of great bars, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance. The new Beltline east side trail is a stone’s throw away, linking you to skate parks, restaurants, gravel bike trails, public pools and parks. We will do organized rides but intend on having less structured leisure time in between. Choose your own adventure and take in all the stuff available around you.

Let us know you’re coming by registering below, then reserve a room at the Highland Inn in the “Swoops block” for maximum fun. Staying here will put you in the center of the action. There is no room for rvs or campers and this is an urban area so plan your transportation accordingly.

Saturday

10:00 am - Get Your Own breakfast from the many places near-by
12:00 pm - Saturday Destination ride
7:00 pm - Party, raffle, Karaoke, snaxxx, dancing, booze etc. at the Highland Inn Ballroom
12:00 am - After party on Ponce (a big long road of bars, restaurants, galleries, and shops)

Other Information

  • Swoops will not be providing housing unless previously agreed upon.

  • Other Recommendations for housing are Airbnbs or hotels in the Poncey Highlands, little 5, or East Atlanta neighborhoods.

Rules

There’s really only 1 rule that is inclusive of many other rules. Violation of that rule (up to the discretion of any Swoop) will result in your ejection from the festivities.

  1. Don’t be an asshole

    1. Don’t make anyone feel unsafe. This includes but is not limited to: being physically threatening, being wasted and riding like an asshole, making anyone feel sexually uncomfortable, unwanted touching or lewd speech of any kind, and/or Making racist/homophobic/misogynistic statements of any kind.

    2. Disrespecting the venues gracious enough to have us. Don’t break shit, make a mess, or be generally shitty to the people that work there.

    3. No guns please- this wouldn’t be a rule if it hadn’t been proven to be a problem

    4. Don’t fuck with things that don’t belong to you
